Trials and tribulations can be anything from an illness, a death, finances, divorce, heartache, children, everyday life challenges and our faith or lack of.Anything that taxes us or causes us turmoil within is considered to be a problem or can be called a trial or a tribulation. So how do we handle these trials and tribulations? Well the Apostle Paul tells us in the Book of James 1:2-4, My brethren “count it all joy” when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. So do we count it all joy when go through our trials and tribulations as Paul tells us or do we try to handle it ourselves getting anxious and upset feeling defeated because we haven’t exercised our faith or do we exercise our faith and trust that God knows what we need and everything is in His timing so that we can count it all joy while we wait on the outcome. We are not supposed to be happy about the problem but we can’t let anything steal our joy. For the joy that we have within us we have to remember that the world did not give it to us so it can not take it away. The joy we have comes from the Lord because we know that God is always in the midst of our trials and tribulations and that is how we get through and perfect our patience and become complete in Him lacking nothing. So the next time we go through a trial or tribulation and we will, let us remember what the word tells us and let us do as Paul says and “count it all joy.”
