Discovering a New way of Life in Following Jesus and becoming His Disciple
The Journey is a three step process that brings you into a relationship with Jesus and helps you to discover who you are through a Discipleship Process
Step One 
 

Welcome to your Journey!

We know that your life will not necessarily change by just listening to a sermon on a Sunday morning. But it will change by having a foundation of who God is, who God created you to be, and by bringing actual content to life so that you can experience change. Whether you are a new believer or a season believer this will give you the tools necessary to make disciples and grow spiritually.
 

What is X change?

X change is specifically designed to be a laser focused, life transforming teaching -by not just learning principles but also bring the content to life with at least one lab each week. X change has a variety of worksheets, discussion questions, journaling prompts and suggestions for additional reading. X change begins by addressing the broad, foundational spiritual concepts, and then moves into the practical way we live out our faith. Next, it transitions to a focus on our relationships with others and finishes with developing a readiness to become a disciple maker.
 

         What do I need to do?

Plug into a class, we will begin with two classes. The new believers class, (called Next) and X change Zero. After completing X change Zero we will transition to X change one.

 

Description of Modules in Step 1:

Next is a collection of twelve sessions for a new believer. When we experience our second birth its important to begin to understand who we’ve become in Christ! Why, so we live out our new identity.

 

X change Zero: Understanding a beginning is critical because it provides the answer to the question why? Like all things, the human race had a beginning. Come understand the heart of the creator and his reason for making us into His image.

 

X change One: In a culture that is embedded in a postmodern mindset (where every view is considered valid) it becomes vital for us to be able to have a solid answer to Christ’s claims and to be able to hold an intelligent conversation about our faith. The Bible is the One True Word from God, a supernatural revelation directly inspired by God. Learn to be solid in your understanding of the Word of God- our Map!

 

Membership: This session is the beginning your journey of growth here at the Onset Foursquare Church! In this class you will learn more about the church, have opportunities to find community and build relationships, see the importance of believing in Jesus, and have the opportunity to become a member.

Step Two
 
Get Equipped!
In this next step of your Journey you will discover how important it is to be in relationship with others.
You We want you to be connected with someone on your Journey, this will give you the support you need to achieve all that God has for you.
 
What the Reason?
There is purpose in all that we do and God wants us to be equipped on or personal Journey an be equipped to help others. In these next studies we will become healthy leaders so that as we lead other there will be a devotion to the word of God an a way of life that we can live by.
 
Being prepared for life in ministry is essential to new believers growth and development. These studies will help you to grow in a new life in Jesus and become the leader that is needed to change the world.
 
Step Three
 
Be Empowered!
As you engage this next step, you have discovered who God is, and discovered the need for God’s people and becoming a leader in the local church. So now is the time to make disciples. 
 
What do I do Next?
When you become a Disciplemaker you will have a heart for the lost, and those who need to grow in the word of God. Your Journey has prepared you for the work of ministry.
Join a ministry in the the church, so you can make disciples as you go.

Learn, grow, and make some new friends along the way! Our classes provide a great opportunity for you to build community. We recommend you attend all sessions at the same class time so that you can start building community with those in your class. About the Classes

 

Journey Zero Session 1 | Welcome to the Family
This session is the first step in beginning your journey of growth here at Onset Foursquare Church! In the first of four classes, you will see the importance of believing in Jesus, learn more about the church, and have opportunities to find community, build relationships, and become a member.

Journey One Session 2 | Becoming a Follower
In this second session, we discuss the importance of hearing, believing, and obeying the voice of God and cover practical ways you can apply these principles to your own life. You will also be given the opportunity to learn more about the Holy Spirit’s role in your life.

Journey Two Path Session 3 | Building God’s Kingdom
Understanding our roles as believers and sharing the unique gifts and abilities He has given us are essential to building God’s kingdom! During this third session, we will explore the importance of the unique gifts and talents God has entrusted us with and how to begin serving others with these gifts, both inside the church and out in the local community.

Journey Three Path Session 4 | It’s All About People
Because God is all about people, we’re all about people! In this fourth and final session of Journey, we will talk about the importance of people in God’s eyes and introduce you to a wide variety of ministry leaders and serving opportunities here at Onset Foursquare Church. You will be given time to explore each area and have the opportunity to join a Build Team!
