It’s all about the heart for if our hearts are not right we can not keep our thoughts right or rebuke those those thoughts that come into our mind that are against God. If we are all honest with ourselves we all have them no one is exempt but it is what we do with those thoughts that matter. If our hearts are not in a right place with God how can our thoughts or actions be right. Did you know that heart is mentioned in the Bible (826) times. That means our hearts and the condition of our hearts are important to God, therefore the condition of our hearts must be important to us. Matthew 6:21 says this, “For where you treasure is, there your heart will be also.” In that scripture Jesus, Himself was speaking so what is it that we treasure! Do we treasure things like pride, money, hate, rebellion, disobedience, being right, power, selfishness and there are so many more things that we can treasure but what do these things do to our hearts? In Ezekiel 36:26 it says, ” I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh” and that was God speaking. So are our hearts made of stone or of flesh? Do we have a heart for God or for the world? Do we guard our heart so that no one can get to it? In this season that we are all going through it is the perfect time to test our hearts, to check the condition of our hearts. If we want to see the right kind of change in the world or in this country where we live we have to change the condition of our hearts as God spoke in His word, from hearts of stone to hearts of flesh. This can only happen when we check ourselves for it’s not about others it’s all about us and if our hearts are not right with God how can the world change. So let us examine ourselves and the condition of our own hearts so that we can be aligned with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit so that true change can come. Be blessed stay in prayer and be encouraged through the word of God.
